Research Description:

Simulation of Peripheral Nerves

I will be using the computer modeling program COMSOL to simulate the stimulation of a peripheral nerve by our electrode for the DARPA Impress project. I will be creating multiple models of different nerves through this program and using these models to determine how electricity and heat moves throughout the nerve to determine a safe voltage for the electrode to emit.
