Faculty Mentors

Did you know that students who work with faculty on scholarly projects are more likely to increase their GPAs, earn their baccalaureate degrees, and succeed in their post-graduation jobs? Not only does mentoring an undergraduate researcher make a significant impact on the student, but it also can lead you to new research questions you had not previously considered.

CUR supports faculty efforts to serve as a research mentor and provides assistance in proposal writing when undergraduate research is part of the project.  CUR will also provide administrative support for REU projects.  Suggested resources on mentoring are included here.  If you would like to learn more about how we can support your efforts to include undergraduate students in your research, please email or call.

For more information on the Mentors responsibilities in the University Scholars Program, please visit the Mentors & Departments link located on the University Scholars Program website.
