Getting College Credit for Research

All UF undergraduates conducting research should in enroll in a research course number. This will allow your research hours to appear on your college transcripts.

How do get credit:

  • Plan to meet with an academic advisor in your department. Students can only be enrolled in research courses after visiting in-person with an academic advisor.

  • Determine how many credits you need. Research courses can be 1-3 credit hours, but many departments offer zero-credit research options for students enrolled in other courses. Verify with your department that they can offer the number of credits you need.

  • Register for credit and begin researching!
