The Undergraduate Research Database can help you find a research project and faculty mentor in a field that excites you. The projects in the database are sorted into three broad categories to simplify your search.
University Scholars Program (USP). The University Scholars Program introduces undergraduate students at the University of Florida to the exciting world of academic research. In the Program, students work one-on-one with UF faculty on selected research projects. Through this initiative, students will take away an understanding of and appreciation for the scholarly method. Research Experience for Undergraduates in Water Resources The aim of the Water Resources REU Program is to provide 8 students with 8-weeks of research experiences in quantifying water and energy demands of various land uses in Florida. http://www.abe.ufl.edu/reu/
Tallahassee Semester Internship The Tallahassee Semester Internship program is offered each spring term to coincide with Florida's legislative session. The Florida-Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (FGLSAMP) Program FGLSAMP is committed to increasing the quality and quantity of underrepresented minority students successfully completing bachelor’s degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The long-term goal is to increase the number of these students who are prepared for graduate school and go on to earn doctorate degrees. FGLSAMP is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). HHMI Science for Life Program With funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Science for Life Program has a mission "to strengthen and transform undergraduate research and interdisciplinary laboratory education in the life sciences" at the University of Florida and our partner institutions. Investigators Research Honor Society Students in the InvestiGators Research Honor Society work directly with a faculty member and a group of peers to reach a common research goal. They experience translational science through both animal and clinical research addressing real world problems. McNair Scholars Program

Materials Physics Research Experience for Undergraduates

Student Safety Research Colloquium
The SSRC conducts applied research on public health and safety issues in the Gainesville community under the mentorship of multi-disciplinary faculty advisors. We receive requests from community members to investigate and/or present our research findings on various issues, for example, substance abuse prevention, traffic safety, and mental health promotion. http://ufssrc.org/
