Research Description

Fruiting Bodies, Temporal Variation and Host Specificity of Fungal Endophytes in a Hammock Ecosystem
The purpose of this research is to investigate whether, where, and when the endophytes being studied produce fruiting bodies, the variation of endophytes through the seasons, and host specificity. These microorganisms could help support plant growth, reproduction, or other functions of their hosts. Observing endophyte communities over time will provide insight on these fungal microbiomes that are still relatively unstudied.
