Dr. Aria Eshraghi is an Assistant Professor for the Department of infectious Diseases and Immunology. The Eshraghi Lab takes a mechanistic approach to understanding fundamental cellular processes through the study of host-bacterial interactions. Dr. Eshraghi reached out to CUR, in February 2020, in search of undergraduates to work on this project with the goal of investigating bacterial toxins that attenuate immune response and cause disease. He is currently mentoring 2 undergraduate students, Rocio Zaldivar, Department of Microbiology and Cell Science and Abdiel Rodriguez, Department of Biology alongside Danielle Hulvey, Lab manager.
Thank you for your willingness to work with our undergraduates!
