Dr. G. Bahar Basim is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering. Her research involves work on Nanotechnology in Manufacturing. She is an expert in Chemical Mechanical Planarization with a history of working in the semiconductor industry. Her research interests include Nanotechnology in Manufacturing, Microelectronics Processes and Device Integration, and 2D/3D Chemical Mechanical Planarization/Polishing. Dr. Basim has involved numerous undergraduates in her lab and taught a CURE class for our University Research Scholars Students in Spring 2020 .
