Dr. Abhisheak Sharma is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the College of Pharmacy. His research focuses on the in vivo and in vitro preclinical pharmacokinetic studies of new chemical entities and natural products. His research interests include translational development of new chemical entities to candidate drugs using PK-PD modeling and simulation approach. Dr. Sharma published more than thirty five peer-reviewed articles in highly respected journals and one book chapter in the field of pharmacokinetics and drug discovery. In 2019, one of the undergraduate student researchers he mentored – Raluca Popa – published her research as a first author in a peer reviewed journal. She is also a co-author in multiple papers by Dr. Sharma.
