Project Description

The University of Florida’s Department of Epidemiology is seeking Volunteer Study InterviewersThe project is investigating the perspectives of emergency medical services personnel on drug use and overdoes during the COVID-19 pandemic via the National Drug Early Warning System (NDEWS) and is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). 

Primary responsibilities include conducting structured interviews with funereal directors, emergency technicians and syringe exchange programs about the effects of COVID-19 and drug use. Volunteers must have some relevant experience, have a professional phone/zoom presence, speak clearly and loudly on the phone, and conduct follow up interviews with each participant over time. Volunteers must also have a cell phone, laptop and Internet access for remote work.
