Project Description

Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science undergrads requested for ongoing project with The Center for Safety, Simulation and Advanced Learning Technologies. Work within agile team of interdisciplinary engineers to build creative solutions to address gaps or improve upon existing medical training techniques as well as develop new medical devices such as an open-source ventilator. Volunteers will learn about all parts of the research process including grant writing, study design, data collection and manuscript/abstract preparation. This project has an emphasis on software development. Working knowledge of C# and Unity game engine is preferred. CSSALT is the Department of Anesthesiology’s in-house medical simulation engineering lab, specializing in screen based, web based, and mixed reality simulations and training tools.
