As a part of the Comparative Oncology Lab we collaboratively examine new ways to treat sarcomas in both humans and dogs. Our focus centers around the immune system and how cancer interacts or interferes with the immune system’s anti-cancer response. While we study immunological effects of cancer, we also develop immunotherapies to target these cancers. We develop vaccines and adoptive cell therapies against ganglioside tumor antigens, and seek novel combination strategies to eradicate cancers.
