Florida Undergraduate Research Conference

Florida Undergraduate Research Conference

The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is an annual research conference where Florida undergraduates share their research through poster presentations. The conference aids students in professional development, from presentation experience, to networking, to a series of workshops. In 2020, FURC will be held at Florida Gulf Coast University. How to Apply

First, students must apply through Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) with their abstract. Once accepted, students should follow the steps on the FGCU website to complete registration and make their registration payment.

Additionally, if UF students would like to receive funded housing, food, and transportation for the conference, they must register through the CUR google form. CUR will provide this funding for the first 50 students who register, offering transportation on a bus down to the conference.

CUR Transportation Support

The CUR office will support the first 50 students to signup for travel and hotel.  A bus will meet on campus and will travel to the conference and back.  Hotel rooms will also be provided for students and these rooms will be shared with another student who is registered.  CUR does not provide funding for mileage for the students who decide to drive themselves.
