FURLS is an intercollegiate summit meant for leaders involved in undergraduate research to discuss student-led initiatives that enhance the undergraduate research culture. Attendees come from schools all over the state of Florida, representing the breadth of undergraduate research programs across the state.
This year’s event will be held online, taking place on January 29th, 2022.
Create and solidify a network between all schools in Florida of leaders in undergraduate research.
If you are interested in attending, please see your institution’s undergraduate research representative, who may nominate you to attend. If you need assistance identifying this individual, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
In January of 2019, the first inaugural FURLS was held here at the University of Florida. At the event, 42 student representatives from 16 Florida institutions met to discuss best practices in undergraduate research leadership. Through roundtable discussions and participant-led workshops, FURLS created a dynamic network of communication between these student leaders in undergraduate research.
