Camille Sicangco

Director of Special Projects (she/her)

Hello! I am super excited to be serving as one of the Directors for Special Projects this year, and I am looking forward to showcasing the amazing undergraduate research conducted here at UF.

I’m a fourth-year botany and mathematics dual major. At UF, I conduct independent research on near-ground plant biomechanics and ecology advised by Professor Jack Putz and supported by the CLAS Scholars Award. I also work on applied research and extension related to sea-level rise adaptation with Mississippi State University’s Coastal Research & Extension Center. I plan to pursue a career in plant ecology research and am passionate about connecting science with communities.

In my spare time, you’ll find me dancing with UF’s Assemble Ballet Company, exploring trails around Gainesville, and enjoying a good book in Plaza of the Americas.
