Novel Biomarker for Diagnosis and Response to Treatment In Canine Bladder Cancer?

We plan to utilize tissue slice culture to study hyaluronan metabolism in canine bladder cancers. We will analyze molecular weight of hyaluronan associated with normal and tumor bladder tissues. We will use live imaging to study the roles of HA in interaction of tumor cells with stroma and immune cells. We will test novel monoclonal anti-Hyal2 antibody for detection of Hyal2-expressing cells in bladder tumor tissue and peripheral blood.
