Research Project

Paul Rudolph and Mid-Century Modern Architecture

Paul Rudolph contributed to a major shift in Florida architecture. His knowledge from working as a naval architect during the second world war and his exposure to European modernism influenced his creation of tropical homes. Through archival research of Paul Rudolph, I will look at drawings, models, and the homes he designed, focusing on understanding how Paul Rudolph revolutionized the Florida mid-century home and the future of Florida architecture.
