Research Project

Smart Electropalatography for Linguistic and Medicine Applications (SELMA)

SELMA is a National Science Foundation-funded project for linguistic and medical applications. The project targets building the thinnest, wireless, and fast-scanning sensor device to better monitor speech production and articulation patterns. These features aim to create a unique form of diagnosis for patients with neurological diseases/disorders that hinder speech.
