To advance my understanding of advanced topics and pioneer new knowledge
The goal of this project is to develop a simulation based aid for the synthesis of novel single molecule magnets. The simulation will use inverse modeling techniques and a unique data type called the Atomic Environment Vector (AEV) which is static for a given set of atomic species even if the number of atoms change, making them extremely useful in genetic algorithms or machine learning applications. Successful implementation of an accurate inverse modeling program will allow for the discovery of a multitude of unique single molecule magnets leading to novel, innovative applications in numerous fields such as spintronics.
