Research Project

Positive interactions in Galapagos reef fishes

We will be investigating the Galapagos reef fish and their interactions with one another to demonstrate the importance of certain species and their role within the reef community for fishery management and further conservation efforts. We will use a database of 10+ years of underwater reef footage and note the number of each nuclear-follower and cleaning interactions, and the types and abundance of species observed.
