Surface Finishing of Medical Components Made with Direct Metal Laser Sintering?

Additive manufacturing technology enables the manufacture of complex-shaped components. Selective laser melting (SLM) attracts a high level of interest in medical and aerospace industry because of the process capability and flexibility. This project involves polishing metallic components made using SLM and studying the polishing characteristics.
