The purpose of this project is to determine the relationship between blood glucose and beta-hydroxybutyrate levels during Precision Ketogenic Therapy and how they affect the outcome of seizure score and medication score in epileptic patients. To test the effects of glucose and beta-hydroxybutyrate on seizure score and med score for patients, blood samples collected at clinics will be used. All samples will be collected from patients who have received Precision Ketogenic Therapy at the University of Florida for more than one year. My hypothesis is, the Precision Ketogenic Therapy will increase beta-hydroxybutyrate levels and decrease glucose levels accompanied by a decrease in seizure score and medication score.
