Development of choreographic work based on the traditional Brazilian story of Maria Bonita and the drought of 1915. The choreography will be utilized as a reference to develop a 2D animation sequence in which reality and myth will become one with each other. With transposing live movement to animation I will be able to further the potential of the dancers and use digital media to bend reality while unconventionally communicating Brazilian traditional themes and narratives. By introducing animation the storytelling aspect of the work can be heightened.
