The Center for Undergraduate Research offers students several opportunities each year for students to present their research. The University of Florida Undergraduate Research Symposium is held twice a year in spring and in fall. CUR also provides transportation and rooms for UF students that have submitted their abstract and been accepted to the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference held every year across the state. In addition to these conferences, if a student gets accepted to present at a conference in their field, they can apply for a $500 travel award to help cover their expenses.
CURBS holds workshops and peer advising to assist students throughout the entire research process. Click the buttons below for more information!
There are a variety of opportunities for undergraduates to publish their research. All undergraduates are invited to submit their faculty-mentored research papers to the UF Journal of Undergraduate Research (JUR). Additionally, each year, JUR holds the Best Undergraduate Research Paper Contest, where three awards are given–each in a different academic discipline. Furthermore, other opportunities for undergraduate research publications exist across the country.
