WHAT IS CURBS?

The Center for Undergraduate Research Board of Students (CURBS) is a research outreach organization at the University of Florida. It is CURBS first-and-foremost priority to introduce students to the benefits of research. If interested, CURBS hopes to help students identify and pursue research opportunities that just might change their entire college experiences. CURBS emphasizes that students of all academic disciplines are invited.

MEET THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Center for Undergraduate Research Board of Students is divided into committees, and each specializes in one of the organization’s initiatives. These committees are led by members of the executive board.

MISSION

The mission of the Center for Undergraduate Research Board of Students (CURBS) is to help undergraduates become more involved in the research process, and to improve the student research experience in existing undergraduate programs. Through workshops, lectures, and peer advising, CURBS hopes to foster a challenging, enriching academic environment in the undergraduate community. CURBS also hopes to promote undergraduate research by creating awareness of the multitude of opportunities available to students, as well as creating a body of research resources for students to utilize.

APPLY TO BE AN AMBASSADOR

The CUR Ambassador program provides a platform for undergraduate leaders who are passionate about research and outreach to play a direct role in enhancing the undergraduate research experience on and off campus.

SERVICES

CURBS offers peer advising and workshops to ensure students learn valuable skills as an undergraduate researcher. To those students already involved in research, we will be presenting opportunities for professional development and networking within your discipline and across campus. These connections through research may prove invaluable in professional careers down the road.
