

About the program
In partnership with Newcastle University in England, the UF Center for Undergraduate Research is happy to announce our pilot research experience program for Summer B of 2025! UF students will have the chance to conduct groundbreaking research with top faculty at Newcastle, while students from Newcastle will join labs across UF’s campus. This is a unique opportunity to expand your research experience internationally!
Accepted students will have the opportunity to choose from a diverse range of research projects and faculty mentors in fields such as data science, statistical modeling, genetics, astrophysics, marine science, and more. The complete list is coming soon!
Located in North East England, Newcastle University is 3 hours to London and 1.5 hours to Edinburgh by train. Accommodations with private rooms and shared common spaces, as well as a pre-loaded meal card, are provided. The cost of the program is $2,500 excluding airfare and the cost of registering for research credit at UF (1-3 credits). Please email CUR@aa.ufl.edu.

REQUIREMENTS
- Students should have at least one semester of research experience at UF.
- 1,500 character essay about why students want to attend this program.

- Letter of Support from faculty mentor/PI at UF
