Biography

Hello! Andrea is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering. After earning her undergraduate degree, she plans to pursue a PhD in Engineering Education. This is Andrea’s third year in CURBS and second on the executive board Andrea’s current research interests incorporate manufacturing, engineering, and experiential learning. Her research project constitutes aiding in the creation and continual update of a new computer numerical control (CNC) manufacturing course taught primarily via experiential learning. The research focuses on identifying the ideal extent of experiential learning needed to challenge students while still enabling growth of knowledge. She has been involved in this research project since its foundation in the Summer of 2021 and looks forward to continuing to learn alongside the students. Andrea is excited about being the Secretary for CURBS and cherishes the opportunity to help further the goals of this organization!
