This point-based, asynchronous program recognizes students who achieve significant experience in their research careers during their undergraduate studies.
The University Scholars Program introduces undergraduate students at the University of Florida to the exciting opportunity to join UF research enterprise. In the program, students work one-on-one with UF faculty on selected projects.
The University of Florida encourages early undergraduate students who are interested in adding a research experience to their curriculum at the freshman or sophomore year to apply for this entry-level program.
SUIRP provides UF undergraduate researchers with a life-changing opportunity to conduct research at a foreign institution during the summer semester.
Competition challenges over 300 teams from more than 40 countries within synthetic biology research. This November, the UF 2019 iGEM Team received a Silver Medal for their work with the Synthetic Cellular Recorders Integrating Biological Events (SCRIBE) system.
The University Research Scholars Program (URSP) is <em>by invitation only </em>and introduces its scholars to the exciting world of academic research. In the program, students are exposed to many opportunities in which they can improve upon their skills as undergraduate researchers.
Designed for students who are interested in pursuing future careers in medicine, this program introduces students to clinical research at the level one trauma center and tertiary care PICU
In partnership with Newcastle University in England, the UF Center for Undergraduate Research is happy to announce our pilot research exchange program for Summer B of 2025! UF students will have the chance to conduct groundbreaking research with top faculty at Newcastle, while students from Newcastle will join labs across UF’s campus. This is a unique opportunity to expand your research experience internationally!
The Florida-Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance (FGLSA) is a coalition of twelve academic institutions in Florida and one in Georgia with a commitment to increasing the quality and quantity of students successfully completing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) baccalaureate degree programs, particularly by groups that historically have been at disadvantage. The long-term goal of FGLSA is to increase the number of students from disadvantaged populations in STEM fields who earn doctorates by stimulating interest in graduate study and providing the tools necessary for academic success. FGLSA is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and includes over 1000 talented undergraduates from across Florida and Georgia.
