Biography

Rushi Patel is a senior majoring in Biology with a minor in Health Disparities in Society on the pre-med track. He is currently conducting research at the UF Center for Musculoskeletal Pain Research under the guidance of Dr. Roland Staud. He is involved in various research projects dealing with chronic pain conditions such as polymyalgia rheumatica and fibromyalgia. After completing his undergraduate studies, Rushi plans on applying to medical school and pursuing a career as a physician. Outside of CURBS, he volunteers at GRACE Marketplace through the GRACE Advocacy Program and at UF Health Shands through Hospitaliteam. In his free time, Rushi enjoys reading and watching basketball with his friends.
