Biography

Suraj Raghunathan is a junior majoring in Biochemistry with minors in Bioinformatics and Health Disparities in Society. He conducts research under the guidance of Dr. Piyush Jain in the Department of Chemical Engineering. In the Jain lab, he engineers CRISPR/Cas systems to expand disease diagnostics. Outside of CURBS, Suraj volunteers with Helping Hands clinic at the GRACE shelter providing medical care to the Gainesville homeless population. In his free time, Suraj enjoys reading, going to the gym, and spending quality time with friends.
